Jay-Z to sell stake in NBA's Brooklyn Nets

After helping the Brooklyn Nets to relocate from New Jersey to his hometown borough this season, Jay-Z announced he will be selling his stake in the pro basketball team. Earlier this month, the rapper and entrepreneur launched Roc Nation Sports, a joint-venture sports management agency with Creative Arts Agency.

National Basketball Association rules stipulate that agents can't both represent professional athletes and have a stake in a team. For Jay-Z to move forward as an agent, he had to relinquish control of the sports franchise.

Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, explained his departure in the following statement: After Cut

"Being a member of the Nets organization surpassed some of my greatest ambitions. It was never about an investment; it was about the NETS and Brooklyn. My job as an owner is over but as a fan it has just begun. I'm a Brooklyn Net forever. It's been an honor to work with Mikhail Prokhorov, Dmitry Razumov, Christophe Charlier, ONEXIM Sports and Entertainment, Brett Yormark and all the wonderful people involved in making the Nets first class. My sincerest thanks goes to Bruce Ratner, who first introduced the idea of moving the Nets to Brooklyn. A thank you and deepest appreciation goes to the fans. You are the lifeblood of any team."

Beyonce, Jay-Z Mark Fifth Wedding Anniversary in Cuba

Beyonce and Jay-Z are in Havana, celebrating their fifth year of marriage.

And causing quite a stir, as Beyonce and Jay-Z do, anniversary or not!

The superstars were mobbed by dozens of fans at La Guarida, a popular restaurant. Police had to be called to keep the crowds at bay.

They toured colonial Old Havana and popped into another restaurant that boasts a rooftop terrace with a sweeping view of the harbor.

It was not clear why they traveled to Cuba ... or how.

But congratulations on the fifth anniversary!

Beyonce: Supports Marriage Equality – “Give Same Rights To Gays”

With the issue of marriage equality prominently in the news - due to California's Supreme Court now considering the legality of Prop 8 - this superstar has posted a handwritten note on her Facebook account that reads:

"If you like it you should be able to put a ring on it."

And in case there was any doubt over the cause to which she's referring, Beyonce included as a caption: #WeWillUniteForMarriageEquality."

Last year, in the wake of President Obama endorsing the rights of gay couples to marry, Beyonce's husband also spoke out on this topic.

Saying the President's statements was "the right thing to do," Jay-Z added in a chat with CNN:

"You choose to love whoever you love. That's their business. It's no different than discriminating against blacks. It's discrimination, plain and simple."

On packing on 57 pounds during her pregnancy: “I didn’t have a lot of time to lose the weight because I scheduled a show three months after I gave birth, which I would never do again!”

How did she lose the wight? Healthy recipes all the way: “I ate a very low-calorie diet. I stayed away from red meat and ate a lot of fish, replaced pasta and rice with quinoa.”

On her meals: “I always have breakfast, say, scrambled egg whites, a vegetable smoothie, or whole-grain cereal with low-fat milk. For lunch and dinner, I eat a lot of fish and vegetables. And throughout the day, I try to stay hydrated… I always treat myself to one meal on Sundays when I can have whatever I want. Usually it’s pizza, which is my favorite indulgence.”

Michelle Obama Hacked By Cyber-Assailants; Other Celebs' Financial Info Also Compromised

Michelle Obama has been hacked in an alarming breach of security by unknown cyber-assailants who have disclosed the First Lady's financial information.

The hackers also obtained and published financial info on Beyonce, Jay-Z, Britney Spears, Donald Trump, Kim Kardashian and other celebrities.

A website run by the hackers has posted Michelle's credit report, social security number, phone numbers, banking and mortgage info and credit card details.

The website also hacked V.P. Joe Biden's history, but the info they were able to obtain was extremely limited in his case (unlike Michelle Obama's).

The motives of the hacker(s) could be more than sporting.

If you click on Michelle's name, the website reads:

"Blame your husband, we still love you, Michelle."

Not fans of President Barack Obama, apparently.

Also, law enforcement sources say the hackers are not just posting the details they uncovered for kicks - they've been "using" the credit information.

It's unclear how, but the hackers have obtained celebs' personal banking information as well as SSNs, which could be enough to withdraw cash.

The FBI has been "aggressively investigating" the case, which is appropriate, as another one of the many victims is FBI Director Robert Mueller.

Apparently the FBI knew about the hackers and their operation before they went public, and a federal investigation was already underway in the case.

Not sure if that makes it better or worse ...
