2Face Idibia: GOV AKPABIO IS LIKE A FATHER TO MY WIFE

The superlative wedding of 2face and Annie might have come and gone, the impression left behind will forever linger. One of which is the public outcry about the reason for the lavished gifts on the couple by Governor Akpabio. The man of the house, 2face has responded critics and we believe it’s a final answer to every question.

“I don’t feel strangely for getting support for our wedding, I am just happy and that is the most important thing. My wife is from the Akwa Ibom State and the governor of the state is like a father to her.

The governor said he was doing all these because he loves his daughter and I don’t think I should feel anyhow because a father is showering his daughter blessings. I don’t believe anybody should feel anyhow, it is a celebration mood, so everybody should be happy,” 2Baba, as he’s fondly called has responded.

On their choice of Dubai for the white wedding, 2face said it’s more spiritual than physical. Before they left for Dubai, he explained that, “I think there is this spiritual connection to it, but I don’t want to disclose it now.

Let’s just say that we love Dubai and we also discovered that it was a perfect venue for us. Contrary to what people are saying that we chose Dubai because of the crowd, we thought of a perfect place for the white wedding and the idea of Dubai came up. I don’t know about crowd control. We just want to have the best of the moment and make sure things go rightly.

There is nothing more to it. It does not have to do with controlling the people or anything. The fact is that you can’t run away from the people. Anywhere you go, you will meet people and these people have come to celebrate with us.”

Annie first met 2face Idibia at Even Ezra Music Studio and in her words, “I think there was some electricity that second”.

They were friends first but had started dating officially by the time they shot the “African Queen” video. 2Face announced that they were together during an interview. Mehn, they don tey oh...

Soon Annie’s entertainment career became a lot more difficult as a result of being known as ’2Face’s girl’ and then they had their first breakup, came back, broke up again...

She was hurt when word got out that, in quick succession, 2Face had gotten two different women pregnant – Pero Adeniyi and Sumbo Ajala. At that point, the couple broke up again.

When Pero and Sumbo yet again got pregnant for 2Face once more, that was when 2Face and Annie had their longest break-up for almost a year and a half. But as they say, love will always find a way, they made up again and Annie gave birth to 2Face’s fifth child Isabel and then in 2012, Pero gave birth to his sixth child.

In 2012, 2Face proposed to Annie on Valentine’s Day at Jay Jay Okocha’s Club 10 in Victoria Island, Lagos. And, they weren’t even dating then, although were still on talking terms after he had called her out of the blue a few weeks before, visited her at home and asked for her forgiveness and friendship.

According TO eye-witness reports, 2Face took Annie to a quiet section of the club, he knelt down and told her “I KNOW WE have had OUR ups and downs but it will be MY heart’s desire for YOU to marry ME” and then presented the dazzling ring and Annie began screaming “YES, YES, YES” after crying her eyes out!

Shortly after 2Face‘s concert when he brought out then-fiancee, Annie during his performance of“African Queen”, the two secretly legalized their union in a Lagos registry on Tuesday, May 1 2012.

And now their big white wedding is going down live in DUBAI TODAY at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel to a private island and more!... Dubai is already boozing with Nigerian celebrities.

2FACE PROMISES TO SATISFY WIFE ANNIE MACAULAY IN BED PUBLICLY

The rich culture and tradition of the people of Akwa Ibom State was meted out on 2Face Idibia last Friday at his traditional wedding with Annie Macaulay at the bride’s hometown.

In the presence of top politicians like Godswill Akpabio (Akwa Ibom State governor) and Florence Ita Giwa, 2Face was asked to touch his Joystick and make a promise to satisfy their daughter. The Idoma-born singer joyfully did.

As Esit Urua custom demands, the hometown of Annie, 2Face was asked to raise his right hand to the sky and touch his Manhood.

This reportedly took place at the field of Apostolic High School, Esit Urua, where the wedding was held.

He was then asked if he still has this masterpiece intact after he touched it which he answered in the affirmative. The next question was if 2Face will satisfy her, as usual of 2Face, he jokingly answered yes! Yes ooo! Yes ooo! eh...

At this point, laughter filled everywhere, as Innocent 2Face Idibia and Annie Macaulay were declared Man and Wife.

 2face Idibia and heartthrob, Annie Macaulay, have been jointed as man and wife in a traditional wedding ceremony today at the Apostolic High School, Esit Urua Community, Eket -Ibeno road, in Uyo, Akwa Ibom, the bride’s hometown.

At the event are the likes of Iyanya, Kate Henshaw, Sound Sultan and other invited guests. The after party is slated to hold in Uyo much later tonight. Meanwhile, here are some pictures from the epic event.
