Faze Opens Up on 2face's Relationship With Blackface

In a recent interview, Faze opened up about 2face and Blackface Relationship:

How do you feel today that 2face is a superstar as well as yourself, but Black Face is yet to hit the mark?

Black Face is also going to be big. Everybody seems to be supporting him financially, and it takes a lot for people to believe in you. Black Face wrote almost all the songs we had in our first album, so, he has potentials. He has management challenges and people that believe in him. We must be frank, we have some junk music in the industry but they sell because they have financial backups to pay for publicity and other things. These days, if you are bringing out an album, it has to be well packaged, it has to generate noise. I’m working on something with him to make sure he bounces back.

Since you know his problem, why didn’t you…?

He’s going to be big. Everybody has his time.

But don’t you think it’s getting too late?

Nothing is too late. He just needs a single and I’m working with him on his album because he was involved in my career. I remember when I wanted to go for a singing competition. I was young and scared of the unexpected because there were so many ladies there that could sing well. I didn’t want to involve myself because I noticed judges were usually partial when it comes to ladies.
It was a live performance but Black Face encouraged me to go ahead. He accompanied me to the competition and I won at the end of the day. So, it’s the same spirit that I’m trying to give back to him. Whenever, we sit and write songs together, he writes in a different dimension. I think the only thing he needs to do is take his time and not to be in a hurry.

Why were you and Black Face absent at Tuface’s Dubai wedding?

I was in Dubai but got to the venue very late. I had other functions I was attending to. People saw me because we were together at the club. Black Face has his own reason he didn’t make it.

But you are his friend and you should know better?

He must have his reasons.

Maybe, he didn’t have money for the ticket…?

It’s not about the money because tickets don’t cost that much. He must have his own reasons. Tuface had his reasons he didn’t invite him too. After all, when Black Face did his wedding, none of us was there.

It appears you are more passionate about Black Face than 2face?

No, it’s not like that. 2Face is already big and Black Face will still grow. Most of the times when he’s down, I sit with him because I know his kind of person. He has talent and he has his fans. What is left is for him to give his fans the right music to listen to and enjoy.

So why didn’t you speak with 2face to lend him a support?

What he needs isn’t financial support. We are working together to bring out the right songs.

What’s 2face doing about it?

I’m sure both of them meet to discuss on their own, you know they are from the same area. I can only speak for myself that whatever I do for Black Face, I’m not helping myself, he’s helping me. I’m still going to do one or two songs with 2face in future. But I’m doing everything to make sure things work out well for Black Face. We are all looking for money to take care of our responsibilities. The highest we can do is work together and make more money. Black Face has been helpful to me even financially so, it’s on both sides.

Annie Macaulay Deserves To be 2face's Wife - Faze

"I’ve known Annie for years and I think she’s perfect for him. There were times she would sit under the tree, crying and asking me if 2face really loved her. Even when 2face was dating Annie, Black Face and I were equally dating two of Annie’s friends. But we didn’t marry those girls but 2face and Annie eventually got married". - Faze

Baby Daddies waiting to follow in 2face’s footsteps

As award-winning, singer 2face Idibia, exited the singles club, the world is watching some of Entertainment’s industries ‘eligible’ bachelors.
Afro-Super-Star Innocent Idibia has happily tie the nuptial knots with his heartthrob of many years, Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay in Dubai. For the couple, who are both stars in their own rights, the much-vaunted wedding is the climax of a relationship that has somewhat managed to survive many storms and crises.
Before 2face made the all-important decision to walk down the aisle with Annie, many music fans had literally concluded that he was not marriageable. With about five children from three women and two more on the way, most single ladies had stopped dreaming of grabbing him for keeps.

For a while, the talented singer was the butt of many jokes rolling down the lips of stand-up comedian. Some of them even referred to him as Father Abraham’. But all that now belongs in the past.
2face and his bride are counting their blessings and looking forward to a future filled with marital bliss having just returned from their honeymoon. Unfortunately the same cannot yet be said about several of his colleagues who have yet to summon the courage to quit bachelorhood.
It is no longer news that the likes of Timaya, Terry G, Ice Prince, Wizkid and May’D have been weaving in and out of relationships. They seem to have many things going for them: they are young, famous, rich and enjoy lots of goodwill from music fans. The only snag is that they seem to be contented with making babies with Baby Mamas.
A few months after Timaya’s romance with Empress Njamah packed up, the former dreadlocked dancehall star found happiness when his girlfriend, Barbara, was delivered of a baby girl.
But Timaya surprised many music fans who had expected him to marry the mother of his daughter. In an interview with Punch, he made it clear that marriage was not in his agenda.
“I wanted to have a baby by Barbara because she is my kind of woman; the kind of woman I’d like to spend the rest of my life with and this was why I decided from the outset that I’d go the whole hog with her. But she knows that marriage is not something we will dabble into now.
“Marriage comes with a lot of responsibilities which are beyond financial or material things. God has blessed me with everything a man needs to have a successful married life and you can bet that Emmanuella and Barbara will get the best of everything money can buy but, personally, I don’t feel ready for it,” he had said.
In November, 2012, Terry G’s fiancée, Mimi, put to bed a baby boy in London. It was a double blessing for the baby daddy who had just moved into his own house at the Iju-Ishaga area of Lagos.
But, while Terry G had taken the first step towards solemnizing his relationship with his lover, Chocolate City rapper Ice Prince and Wizkid appeared to be too busy trying to weave their way through a maze of starry-eyed female admirers.
One starry-eyed girl named Bimbo Babatunde was eventually delivered of a baby boy in March 2012 and Ice Prince (real name Panshak Zamani) is said to be the father of the child.
Although he kept denying it, Wizkid was rumoured to have fathered a baby girl. Sources said the evidence that he might have joined the league of ‘baby daddies’ lay in a picture of himself and a cute baby girl that he hung in the living room of his new home in Lagos. But the artiste is reluctant to tell.
Apart from that, Wizkid was at one time said to be deeply involved with controversial actress, Tonto Dike.
Not to forget Peter from PSquare who has two kids from his girlfriend lola Omotayo. No-one knows if they would have another or walk to the alter.
Now that 2face is finally calling it quits with a stormy bachelorhood, the question is: will the others now waiting in the wings follow in his footsteps? Only time will tell.

2Face Idibia: GOV AKPABIO IS LIKE A FATHER TO MY WIFE

The superlative wedding of 2face and Annie might have come and gone, the impression left behind will forever linger. One of which is the public outcry about the reason for the lavished gifts on the couple by Governor Akpabio. The man of the house, 2face has responded critics and we believe it’s a final answer to every question.
“I don’t feel strangely for getting support for our wedding, I am just happy and that is the most important thing. My wife is from the Akwa Ibom State and the governor of the state is like a father to her.
The governor said he was doing all these because he loves his daughter and I don’t think I should feel anyhow because a father is showering his daughter blessings. I don’t believe anybody should feel anyhow, it is a celebration mood, so everybody should be happy,” 2Baba, as he’s fondly called has responded.

On their choice of Dubai for the white wedding, 2face said it’s more spiritual than physical. Before they left for Dubai, he explained that, “I think there is this spiritual connection to it, but I don’t want to disclose it now.

Let’s just say that we love Dubai and we also discovered that it was a perfect venue for us. Contrary to what people are saying that we chose Dubai because of the crowd, we thought of a perfect place for the white wedding and the idea of Dubai came up. I don’t know about crowd control. We just want to have the best of the moment and make sure things go rightly.

There is nothing more to it. It does not have to do with controlling the people or anything. The fact is that you can’t run away from the people. Anywhere you go, you will meet people and these people have come to celebrate with us.”
